ANDY GRAYDON

Untitled (forum)

Sculptural sound installation, dimensions variable
2010

Two towers built from plastic beer crates stand opposed to one another across the gallery floor. Each emits the transformed sound recorded from equally opposed and iconic Berlin architectural landmarks: the Neue Nationalgalerie by Mies van der Rohe, and Hans Scharoun’s Berliner Philharmonie. Each tower is filled with objects of daily use from the artist’s own studio.

First presented in the exhibition “Metropolis”, Galerie M+R Fricke, Berlin
